The Northern Bullants are proud to be your club in our community. Our home and 141 years of history may be in Preston, but our heart extends across the one million people in the northern suburbs we’re committed to supporting.
We’re thrilled to launch our first Community Home Game of the season, against Collingwood on Sunday June 4, which will raise money for the Royal Children’s Hospital through the good friends at Good Friday Appeal.
A full day of entertainment is on offer, with something for everyone including a lunch with guest speakers, a raffle, auction, footy clinic, face painting, great food around the ground, and a VFLW grudge match between Darebin Falcons and Collingwood at 10.30am – all culminating with the Bullants vs Magpies in the VFL matchup at 2.05pm.
The Good Friday Appeal Lunch, presented by IKON Services, will feature an interview with former Australian, Melbourne Tigers, Chicago Bulls and Dallas Mavericks star Chris Anstey, on the eve of the NBA Finals.
Senior members of the Bullants and Falcons will also make a special appearance.
A Samsung 70 inch TV and a 2023 Collingwood jumper signed by the team currently atop the AFL ladder will be the prizes for a lucky raffle winner and sales and draw will be confined to the day itself.
A huge auction will take place with something for everyone, including:
- A replica Melbourne Tigers singlet signed by Chris Anstey
- A training session with Chris Anstey
- A Luc Longley signed basketball
- Football boots signed by Scott Pendlebury
- A collection of the last 10 Premiership posters by Mark Knight
- A Northern Bullants Coach for the Day experience, shadowing senior coach Brodie Holland for the day
All revenues from the auction and raffle will be donated to the Appeal, as well as half of proceeds from the gate, where entry will be $5 for Collingwood members and $10 for general entry. Under 16’s are free.
Tickets for the Good Friday Appeal Lunch, which begins at 12pm, will sell fast at $95 per head and are available for purchase online.
Around the ground there will be activities including face painting for the kids and AFL Victoria will be running Footy4Fun at 12.30, assisted by current Bullants players themselves, and mini matches at halftime of the Bullants match.
Stay tuned for more details on our second Community Home Game of the season, against Footscray Bulldogs, where we’ll be raising money for the northern suburbs based Big Group Hug which supports newborns of disadvantaged families.
