The Northern Bullants will be targeting a third win from as many matches when they meet Coburg in the Battle of Bell Street at Piranha Park (Coburg City Oval) on Sunday at 1pm.
The fixture for both the VFL competition remains a week-by-week proposition for the short-term.
During the week, the AFL announced two matches have been removed from the fixture due to the ongoing uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic around Australia.
The competition was originally scheduled to feature all 22 clubs playing 16 matches in a 19-round home-and-away season, but lockdowns in Victoria in May and now in NSW have made that impossible to achieve in the remaining timeframe.
All clubs will now play 14 games across the same 19 rounds, with the top eight finals structure to remain unchanged, starting on Saturday, August 28, ahead of the Grand Final on Sunday, September 19, which returns to Marvel Stadium after being played at Ikon Park in 2019.
The AFL is committed to working through the rounds plus finals to complete both seasons, and will continue to meet with all parties and plan for all scenarios acting on the advice from government, relevant health departments and medical experts.
The Northern Bullants thank all members, partners and the broader club community for their patience and understanding, and can’t wait to see a big crowd against Coburg on Sunday..
